What's New
Last updated: October 2026
Everything new in Race Results, your companion for MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.
Version 1.8.0
October 2026
Improved
- Session times on Apple Watch now show in your time zone. They used to be off by the circuit’s time difference and could change back and forth. Thanks to Henk for the heads up!
Version 1.7.0
August 2026
New
- Added an Apple Watch companion app with the next-session countdown, full race-weekend timetable and championship top five for MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3. It keeps the latest iPhone sync available offline.
Improved
- During a race, riders just behind the leader no longer show as “+1 lap” for a moment each time the leader crosses the line.
Version 1.6.0
August 2026
Improved
- Live race order now keeps riders on the lead lap ahead of lapped riders, including in the Live Activity.
Version 1.5.0
July 2026
New
- Tap share and you get a whole deck now. Swipe through the graphics and post the one you like.
- You can share a Grand Prix weekend. Before the race it’s a poster, a countdown and the timetable. After it, the winner, the podium and the results, plus the circuit and where the championship stands.
- Once a race is done, you can share who made up the most places from where they started.
- Riders get a race number poster, how their season’s going, what they’ve won, and a head to head with their teammate.
- Teams get their line-up, the season so far, who’s scoring the points, and the constructors’ table.
- Standings get the gap to the leader, the top three, who’s winning the most races, and the two riders fighting for the title.
- Compare two riders and you get a split poster, their seasons side by side, a race by race duel, and all the numbers.
- The lights-out test shows where you’d start on the grid, how your time rates, and a card daring your friends to beat it.
Improved
- The app starts faster: widget updates and other housekeeping now wait until the first screen is on display instead of holding it up.
- Coming back to the app is smoother — the Standings tab no longer rebuilds itself twice, and widget updates no longer cause a brief stutter.
- Silkier animations here and there: the "new stories" chip in News, the review banner in Settings and the app icon preview all animate more smoothly.
- In News, the source and time above a headline no longer jump down when a story's NEW badge disappears.
Version 1.4.0
July 2026
Improved
- Race result notifications no longer double up: you get one alert per race, and if you follow a rider it's their result you see.
- Live timing now shows one gap at a time. Tap the leaderboard to switch every row between the gap to the leader and the interval to the rider ahead.
- News stories that don't have an AI summary now show the article's opening lines instead of leaving the card empty.
- The News layout button tucks away with the top bar as you scroll, and comes back when you scroll up.
- The race Live Activity no longer shows a countdown clock. A race is measured in laps, so it shows the lap counter, which no longer gets cut off.
Version 1.3.0
July 2026
New
- Added an immersive News layout — a swipeable deck of cards with parallax covers and the whole story at a glance. Choose it, or keep the classic list, from Settings › Appearance › News layout.
- Added a Feature Requests board in Settings › Support: upvote the ideas you want to see, submit your own, and watch them go from pending review to shipped.
Improved
- News stories now arrive with a one-line take and a short AI summary, so you know what a headline is about before you open it.
- News covers are sharper — heroes no longer stretch a small crop to fill the screen.
- Stories mark themselves as read once you’ve seen them, and open full screen with a smoother dismiss.
- The Live button now shows only on a race weekend, so it isn’t waiting there when there is nothing to watch.
- Steadier headers across the tabs, and calmer transitions when you switch between News layouts.
- Fixed Live Activity and live session updates that could stall during a race weekend.
Version 1.2.0
July 2026
New
- Added a What’s New screen so you can see the latest changes right inside the app, from About › What’s New.
- Added Italian localization — Race Results is now available in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
- Added shareable graphic cards: post a rider’s stat card, a championship standings snapshot or your lights-out reaction time as a ready-made image, straight from the share button.
- Added shareable head-to-head cards from the rider comparison screen.
- Added shareable team cards — share a team's season card just like a rider's.
- Added a full set of Lock Screen and StandBy widgets: race schedule, countdown, favourite rider and team, season progress and the championship top three.
Improved
- Share graphics now open in a preview screen with a larger Share button before you post them.
- Refined the share graphics — the app icon in the footer, roomier standings rows with the flag on the team line, and polished rider, team and head-to-head layouts.
- “Leave a review” now takes you straight to the App Store.
- Contact support now opens a prefilled email with your app details, falling back to the web form when mail isn’t set up.
Version 1.1.0

- Added an alternate app icon picker so you can choose the look that suits you from Settings.
